Hi Everyone,

This weekend we will celebrate our 16th Record Store Day! Looking back, it is sometimes hard to believe how far we come and how much we have grown, not only as an event, but also as an organization and a community. Community has always been at the heart of this event. Record Store Day was created and remains to be about celebrating the culture of record stores and how for many, they are both the lighthouse and the anchor of their communities. What is exciting to watch, is a new generation of music lovers learning with events like Record Store Day and in-store events, listening parties etc, that record stores and the music inside can truly bring people together to form their own community. This is especially important to me and gives me hope as we are in such strange and divisive times.

So, this weekend, get out there, spread the love (remember kindness) and celebrate your record store, because I know how hard they have worked to be ready for you on Saturday!
