Hi Everyone,

First off, I usually like to use this message to talk about things going on in the industry, with CIMS or highlighting our stores, but every once in a while, I have to fan out because… music is my first love. That love is always at the heart of why I do what I do every day.

About this week I have three words… Rihanna’s. Halftime. Show.

My love for Rihanna runs deep. She is eternally the coolest, and she kills it every single time- this Superbowl performance being no exception. I, like everyone else, am hoping we finally get that new album in ’23… but in the meantime I will be rocking the MVP and playing my Riri faves on repeat.

In other music news… it is official, the Record Store Day 2023 List is live today! We have a great lineup this year. I want to say a huge thanks to all the labels that continue to put in the work to bring these amazing releases to help us celebrate music in its physical format, not only on Record Store Day but every day. Even more important is the celebration of all of our incredible record stores. If music is our salvation, then the record shop is our church!
