Hi Everyone,

It was great to be back in Nashville last week for Music Biz 2022. There were great meetings and panels that sparked some even better conversations, and most importantly it was so great to reconnect and be face to face with so many of you. I have missed that so much! Thanks to Portia and everyone at Music Biz for the incorporation of more physical media content this year. Thanks to the labels and distributors that sat down with us to talk about the challenges and successes of indie retail, and to all of our stores that showed up to represent just that.

I would also like to congratulate one of our CIMS members, Justin Johnson, of Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie, NY. His suitcase was a little heavier on the way home because he took home that Music Biz 2022 Frontline Innovator Bizzy award!
